trout salad
Total Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 1 protein filled dinner
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 trout fillet
A handful of cherry tomatoes
1 cup lettuce
1 tsp. olive oil
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, boil water, then add egg. Let the egg sit in the boiling water for 5 minutes to make it hard-boiled.
2. In a medium sized pan, heat olive oil and fry trout for about 15 minutes, or until cooked.
3. On a cutting board, cut the tomatoes in half and set aside.
4. Once the trout is cooked, transfer it onto a cutting board, take off the skin and start to pull the fish apart.
5. After the egg is hard boiled, peel the egg and cut it into fourths.
6. To assemble the salad, put some lettuce onto a plate and layer the tomatoes, trout and hard boiled egg on top.
