Protein bites
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 6 chocolate protein bites
Ingredients:
1/3 cup chopped pitted dates
About 1/2 tsp. coconut oil
1 tbs. cocoa powder
1 1/2 tbs. protein powder
2 tbs. quinoa flakes
Directions:
1. First, chop up the pitted dates.
2. Next, combine the cocoa powder and coconut oil in a medium sized bowl until it becomes a liquid consistency.
3. Add protein powder to the bowl, then add in the chopped dates.
4. Use your fingers to break up the dates and keep mixing all of the ingredients together until it becomes a paste like consistency.
5. Pour quinoa flakes in a small bowl so it will be easier to coat the protein bites.
6. Using your hands, press together a small handful of the mixture into a ball shape, then coat with the quinoa flakes.
7. Continue making the protein bites and place on a baking sheet.
8. Put the completed protein bites into the freezer for 15 minutes to set.
9. I recommend storing these in the fridge.
