Yield: 1 sandwich
Ingredients:
2 slices bread
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
3 Dorot frozen basil cubes
1 Dorot frozen garlic cube
A dash of chili powder
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 pieces chicken breast
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning powder
1 thin slice red onion
A few leaves of lettuce
Directions:
1. In a medium sized pan heat olive oil and cook chicken breasts for ten minutes, or until browned and cooked all the way through. As the chicken is cooking, season with Italian seasoning.
2. In a small pan, add extra virgin olive oil, basil, garlic cubes and a dash of chili powder. Keep on low heat for about one minute until the cubes melt and you have a pesto.
3. On a cutting board, thinly slice a red onion, pull apart the layers and set aside.
4. Spread pesto onto two slices of bread, place cooked chicken breasts on the bread, then top with lettuce and red onion.
5. Slice the sandwich to make it look like it was ordered at a café.
